Self-confidence can be defined as a belief in one’s abilities and maintaining a sense of competence. On the other hand, low self-confidence can be defined as a lack of faith in one’s abilities and competence. Low self-worth affects everybody differently. And not all signs will apply to everybody. But generally, the more signs you recognise in yourself, the lower your self-worth.
You spend a lot of time overthinking and replaying negative chatter in your mind.
You have an inner voice calling you worthless, not good enough and unlovable
You think that no matter how hard you try, you are never good enough
You think everything is your fault, and take everything personally
You experience a sense of worthlessness
You have negative thoughts about your abilities and yourself in general
You are a people-pleaser
You say YES when you really want to say NO
You have trouble making decisions - in case you get it wrong
You have trouble accepting compliments and praise ( you downplay it)
You often wonder if there is something wrong with you
You apologise often
You are unable to RECEIVE
You suffer from 'Imposter Syndrome'
You doubt your abilities
You compare yourself to other colleagues or business owners
You do not feel confident in work social settings
You will not speak up in meetings because you do not trust that your ideas are good enough
Negative feedback leaves you feeling like a failure.
You avoid putting yourself out there, going for the job you want or asking for leave.
You avoid having sales conversations
You find it difficult to 'charge your worth'
It's not SAFE for you to be too powerful
It's not safe for you to show any weakness
You think that you are not worthy of your partner, you expect them to leave you or find someone better
You attract men who are emotionally unavailable
Maybe you feel like you are 'the unlovable woman'
You may feel that your partner is judgmental of you when he offers you advice.
You look for signs that people don’t like you
You have trouble asking for what you want
You feel inferior to others
You put everyone else's needs before your own
